First Aid 4 Life are Approved as Training Providers by Immediate Temporary Care which is the HSE Approved trading name of ITC First Aid Ltd (HSE approval number 1670/96) who are also an awarding body that develop qualifications on the Qualifications & Credit Framework (QCF) regulated by OfQual. It is worth noting that we fully subscribe to ITC's Ethos which you can read here!
All of our trainers are highly experienced with an active interest in the outdoors coupled with a thorough understanding of many workplace settings; this ensures that our training is extremely relevant. They are qualified to teach various first aid courses including the HSE First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work along with more specialist courses in Mountain and Outdoor First Aid and Paediatric First Aid.
Based in South West England, First Aid 4 Life provide courses nationally so please feel free to approach us for First Aid Training wherever you are.
Sam & Stella who run First Aid 4 Life
Sam has been an ITC Trainer for a number of years and with Stella, enjoys running First Aid 4 Life based in the West Country.
As an Ambulance First Responder for South Western Ambulance Service he has been trained to deal with and experienced real life emergencies, thus providing a solid foundation to his first aid training.
He is also a member of the Devon Cave Rescue Organisation via which he has qualified in Advanced First Aid for Cave Rescue with the South & Mid Wales Cave Rescue Team; he holds the Mountain Rescue Casualty Care Certificate.
A training and development professional, Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and Affiliate of the Institute for Learning, in his previous life Sam gained over 25 years general management experience in industry with Thorn EMI and Colorcon Pharmaceutical Services Group.
In his spare time Sam enjoys being outside and as such is a Qualified Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing and Canoeing/Kayaking instructor. He is also a qualified NLP Practitioner and holds a Level 4 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This combination of skills and experience has proved not only useful for enjoying the outdoors to the full, but also extremely effective in his training career.
Stella has been practising as a State Registered Occupational Therapist for over 25 years and as an ITC Trainer brings combined experience of working in the NHS, Social Services and Private Health Care in both physical and mental health medicine; as a Head OT she was heavily involved in training OT's and other healthcare professionals.
Along with husband Sam she too enjoys the outdoors and sport in general, particularly hill walking and kayaking, but is most passionate about anything equestrian!
A healthcare professional and Affiliate of the Institute for Learning, she is also a qualified NLP Practitioner and holds a Level 4 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector. This combination of skills and experience has proved invaluable in her training career.
