Annual Skills Refresher
The HSE strongly recommends that an annual refresher course is attended once every year.
Prices
- Individual – £25 + VAT (£30 inc VAT)
- Group of 12 – £225 + VAT (£270 inc VAT)
Content
- Being Safe – best practice including prevention of cross-infection.
- Incident Handling – a systematic approach to problem solving & decision making.
- Unconsciousness – managing the unconscious casualty to ensure a safe airway, including seizure.
- CPR – dealing with the non breathing casualty.
- Wounds & Bleeding – dealing with external & internal bleeding and shock.
Duration
- ½ day (3+ hours)
Certification
This course is not certificated although a letter confirming completion can be provided.
Requalification
This course is not certificated, rather it is strongly recommended by the HSE. First Aid at Work Certificates (see Courses) are valid for one, two and three years respectively, following which candidates must requalify by undertaking another suitable First Aid at Work course.
